A tiny Scottish island is seeking a proprietor for its only shop.
Located on the Isle of Rum in the Inner Hebrides, those living on the island consider the general store and post office it to be "hub of the village".
The shopkeeper position is being recruited by the community trust and applications will close on 5 May.
As part of the package, a two-bedroom house will be available to rent on the island from the end of the month.
The Isle of Rum has a population of around 40 people, but does have its own school, with the advert suggesting the role may appeal to a young family.
Steve Robertson, development officer at the Isle of Rum Community Trust, commented: "It's really a centre for the island, it can work as a pub, with people buying alcohol and drinking outside.
"But it is also the pharmacy and the post office - as there is nowhere else to buy anything."
He added that the plans for the island's community hub could, depending on funding, include the addition of a new shop and a café.
"It means that whoever takes on the shop can maybe look ahead to working with this development in about three years' time.
"There's an opportunity for whoever takes on the shop to process the venison we have here, of which there is plenty, and make it more widely available to locals."
Robertson admitted: "It's a challenging place to run a business, with it being the only shop on the island, but for some people, it is the ideal sort of environment and exactly what they want."
The community trust received approximately 4,000 enquiries and around 400 applications three years ago for new houses that were beiung built on the island at the time.
"It was a phenomenal response, so I don't think we'll be short of interest for this."
