Isle of Man TT fans were left fuming after a ball somehow found its way onto the road during Saturday's opening Superbike race.
Tragedy was thankfully averted as the ball rolled down the Bray Hill section of the course on the opening lap.
Footage shared on social media shows John McGuinness narrowly avoiding the ball as he flies down the ultra-fast stretch of road.

Carrick rider Glenn Irwin, who finished eighth in the race, shared the footage on Twitter, adding: "THIS IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS."
Fans also voiced their anger.
One fan tweeted: "Unbelievable. Helmets, pit boards and footballs. Ridiculous."
Retired racer Darren Gilpin tweeted: "This actually happened to me at the North West 200 in 2008, three abreast into university corner and a football kicked onto the track!!!"
Another fan tried to offer an explanation for the ball getting onto the road, saying: "Not excusing the fact it happened but seen it mentioned that the ball came from the pitches beside Bray Hill and it wasn't intentional. Just thankful it didn't cause an accident for anyone."
Another said: "Proper scary. Spectators really need to be more careful. A helmet rolled onto the track at the Creg this week. This is so dangerous."
Richard tweeted: "TT is dangerous enough without having debris going across your wheels."
Peter Hickman went on to win Saturday's Superbike race ahead of Dean Harrison and Michael Dunlop.
Tragedy struck in the later Sidecar race when French competitor Olivier Lavarel died following an incident at Ago's Leap.
He was a passenger to César Chanel who was airlifted to Aintree Hospital in a critical condition.
Update - June 8, 2022: The Isle of Man TT Races have now stated that they believe it was Cesar Chanal who died at the scene after an apparent case of mistaken identification. Lavarel remains in a critical condition. Both competitors' families have been informed.
