Isle of Dogs: Video shows terrifying moment pistol is aimed at shopkeeper’s head in east London robbery

This is the terrifying moment a robber points his pistol at a shopkeeper’s head and demands he empty his east London electronics store.

Two hooded men, one armed with a machete the other with a revolver, burst into Maconomix in Castalia Square, Isle of Dogs at 5pm on Tuesday.

CCTV footage appears to show the gunman aiming the weapon at the shopkeeper, before demanding “What the f*** do you have now?”

“Put it in the bag now.”

One of the alleged robbers cycled back and forth outside the store operating as a lookout for police or anyone who tried to intervene.

The gunman leads the shop owner into a back room whilst his accomplice fills a rucksack with the latest mobile phones.

The brave shopkeeper fights back managing to throw a large ledger at the thieves as they flee the store in the direction of St John’s Park.

The shopkeeper was uninjured but is said to have been left “shaken up” by the robbery which lasted a mere 45 seconds.

A Scotland Yard spokesman said: “Two males are reported to have entered armed with a firearm and stole a quantity of items after struggling with a member of staff before fleeing in the direction of St John’s Park.

“There were no reports of any injuries.

“There have been no arrests.

“Enquiries are ongoing.”
