The Oklahoma City Thunder will likely have several players participate in the 2023 All-Star weekend, and Isaiah Joe wants to join that list.
Following the Thunder’s blowout win against the Indiana Pacers that featured him going 7-of-12 from 3, Joe was asked if he’d be interested in participating in the 3-point shooting contest.
Joe gave a resounding yes.
“Most definitely, I would not pass that up,” Joe exclaimed. When asked what his mindset would be heading into the event if invited, he would focus on winning it more than enjoying the atmosphere.

I asked Isaiah Joe if he would want to compete in the 3 point contest “most definitely” I asked if he’d come in confident like Larry Bird telling his opposition he is going to win it “I wouldn’t be in it to do anything else”

While Joe doesn’t have the same name recognition as other prolific three-point snipers, his numbers back up his claim to participate.
Joe is shooting 44.4% from 3 on 4.1 attempts a game. The 44.4% shooting is the sixth-highest in the league among qualified players.
Going from being cut in October to advocating to be in February’s 3-point shooting contest, it’s been a wild five months for Joe, who has played his way into being a rotation piece for a good Thunder squad fighting for the playoffs.
The 2023 All-Star weekend is scheduled to take place from Feb. 17 to Feb. 19.
