As the Las Vegas Raiders claimed former New England Patriots cornerback Jack Jones, they had to release another member of their roster.
It’d be defensive end Isaac Rochell who would be let go, as Rochell himself confirmed on Twitter
However, the Raiders social media team forgot to check the scheduled tweets ahead of Rochell being cut. The team shared a video about Rochell’s brother and his career in the Air Force.
There was only one problem, of course. Rochell had been released by the team by the time the post was shared, which the defensive end pointed out right after sharing news of his free agency status.
I’ve been released by the @Raiders

This is objectively really bad timing. https://t.co/p9LWyB2PH6

“This is objectively really bad timing,” indeed. It’s not uncommon for big organizations like Raiders to schedule social media posts that look cringey by the time they’re posted.
However, it doesn’t discount the fact that it’s, well, super cringey. Rochell just wasn’t about to let this slide as he figures out his next stop for his career.
