It's now only a few days until Activison's highly-anticipated battle royale sequel launches worldwide.
Call of Duty: Warzone 2 will become playable on PC, PS4, PS5, and Xbox from November 16 at 6pm GMT. The date will also mark the start of the first season of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2.
Like the previous Warzone released by Activision, Warzone 2 will be its own standalone game so eager players will not need to purchase Modern Warfare 2 to gain access to the battle royale. However, with the upcoming games expected new features and the likelihood that it will be more advanced than its predecessor, many may be concerned if they will have to fork out any cash.

Fortunately, Activision confirmed that Warzone 2 will be free to play for everyone. Earlier in the year, Activision wrote in its blog that Warzone 2 will be "free for everyone".
This means that players will not have to pay any upfront costs or subscription to access the base game. However, it will be highly likely that there will be some extra content that can be purchased such as item and character cosmetics via an online shop.
There will also be an optional premium battle pass system which players can pay to have access to and level up in order to receive extra items, in-game currency, and unique weapon skins and loadouts. On its blog, Activision wrote: " Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 will launch – free for everyone – this November 16, as part of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II Season One."
