A new video allegedly from the set of the new Joker film, starring Joaquin Phoenix, has emerged, hinting at the lead character’s laugh.
Phoenix is the latest incarnation of the Joker, taking the lead role in the first standalone film which tells the story of a “failed comedian who turned to a life of crime and chaos” in the 1980s.
Fans of the franchise have had a lot to get excited about in recent months after several filming shoots leaked out.
And now a video claims to have revealed the famous cackle the Joker will roar, after re-emerging on a fan account.
The Instagram post tells readers to “listen for the laugh”, with fans flocking to the comments to talk about the “clown-like” laugh.
Last November, pictures showed Phoenix sprinting down a packed street before a stuntman took over and was hit by a yellow taxi.
Phoenix’s Joker, real name Arthur Fleck, could be seen in a full red suit with a mustard waistcoat and green shirt, complete with a full face of clown make-up and green hair.
The role of the Joker has had several incarnations, including Jack Nicholson in 1989’s Batman, and Heath Ledger in 2008’s The Dark Knight, for which he won a posthumous Oscar.
Joker will be released on October 4, 2019.
