Every Saturday morning, thousands of people lace up their running shoes and set out on parkrun routes across the country.
The free 5k runs have grown in popularity in recent years and now form an integral part of people's weekend routines.
People are encouraged to join what's described by organisers as a "positive, welcoming and inclusive experience". There is no time limit, no one finishes 'last' and everyone is able to join, whether they run, jog, walk, spectate or volunteer.
With more than 20 venues across Greater Manchester, there is a variety of flat and hilly routes to choose from. If you're interested in getting involved then here's all the information you need:

What is parkrun?
Parkrun is a free, weekly run held at 9am every Saturday morning at parks and other locations across the UK.
Each parkrun is three miles or five km long and runners - or walkers - or all paces and abilities are welcome to take part.
How much does parkrun cost?
It's totally free. If you want you can just turn up and run without registering.
However, if you register on the parkrun website, you will be given an individual barcode. Take that along and your times will be recorded each time you do it and at whatever parkrun you go to across the UK or beyond.
I'm not much of a runner. Is it for me?
Definitely. Some people will absolutely fly around the parkrun course. However others will walk the whole way or run a bit and then walk for a bit.
If you don't want to run, you can also volunteer. Each parkrun relies on volunteers to fill the various roles including timekeeper, barcode scanner and tail walker.
Everyone is welcome.
