You caught us: we're already sleuthing for intel about The Ultimatum season 3.
The Ultimatum season 2 premiered on Netflix on Wednesday, August 23, yet we can tell things are already off to an intense start. (Lookin' at you, Lisa and Brian!) Could people really be willing to couple up with someone else and watch their significant other do the same for the sake of reconnecting? Apparently!
"It may not be the answer that you want, but it's the truth," season 2 contestant Antonio Mattei tells My Imperfect Life about the experience.
Will his words of wisdom inspire future contestants to issue ultimatums? Let's see...
Will 'The Ultimatum' season 3 come to Netflix?
At the time of publication, The Ultimatum season 3 has yet to be confirmed. But don't fret: this doesn't necessarily mean that a third season not happening. Rather, it's a matter of waiting to hear from the head honchos at the streamer.
Given the success of the franchise thus far—as well as its counterparts like Love Is Blind, which is about to premiere its fifth season—we'll remain hopeful that more romantic turbulence is headed to our screens. (Speaking of which, a little update about Perfect Match season 2 is in order, Netflix!) As soon as we learn more, we'll be sure to give you the juicy scoop, so watch this space for updates.
In the meantime, we're sinking our teeth into the second season, and there's enough turbulence to savor before we focus on whatever happens next. How will The Ultimatum season 2 couples do during their trial marriages, and which partner will they choose? We were already treated to one unexpected surprise (no spoilers here, though): can we expect more?
In the meantime, if it's a romantic roller coaster you're craving, tune in to Love Is Blind: After the Altar season 4 on Friday, September 1, and this go-around doesn't just include the couples who said: "I do." A few weeks later, we're pod-bound on Friday, September 22 for Love Is Blind season 5. Will this adventure be as successful (and dramatic) as the prior season? And don't forget, the spin-off series The Ultimatum: Queer Love is currently streaming on Netflix and got a bit overshadowed in the midst of Scandoval, but it's definitely worth the watch!
So while we're still waiting on the fate of The Ultimatum, we have plenty to distract and entertain us while we stand by for Netflix to give the show's return a resounding "yes." But given how unusual the premise could be (and all that comes along with it) we're not too worried about the future.
The Ultimatum's season 2 cast member Brian Okoye tells My Imperfect Life: "It's not the most conventional way to go about [a relationship], but you gotta go for it. If you don't put your foot down, you're not going to get the results you're looking for."
While we don't necessarily disagree, we're perfectly happy watching the events unfold from the comfort of our couch, thank you very much.
The first eight episodes of The Ultimatum season 2 are now available to stream on Netflix. Episodes nine and ten premiere on Wednesday, August 30.
