Is the batter right handed or left handed? MLB logo intrigues netizens

A photo of an MLB player with the caption- “Is the batter in the MLB logo batting right-handed or left-handed” is doing rounds on social media. The picture of the MLB logo has people scratching their heads; which way is the batter facing, they ask.

The image has been shared by the Instagram account "opticalillusionss".

The caption of the image reads: “What do you see?” The logo features a silhouette of a batter in a hitting position. The riddle is to answer the question of whether the batter is batting with a right hand or with his left hand.

The post quickly gained the attention of the users as they posted their opinions in the comment section. “If you are standing behind someone who is batting right-handed (facing left), you will not see the knuckles as they appear in the picture. Standing in front of a left-handed (right-facing) batter will show you his knuckles.”, wrote a user explaining the logic. “Batting left-handed. Because of the grip on the bat,” wrote one user.

The majority of users agreed that the batsman was left-handed. While some users believed that the batter was right-handed.

While some users were busy brainstorming the answer, others had fun taking a dig at the post. A user wrote “Doesn't matter. He is not going to the Hall of Fame.” “Don't know about that, but the player is a bird”, wrote another user. One user even gave a historical context behind the picture and said “The silhouette is meant to be based on Harmon Killebrew, who was right-handed. However, the designers decided to make the logo ambiguous, so it looks both left AND right-handed. Technically both answers are correct”.

For those unaware, Harmon Killebrew was an American professional baseball player who spent most of his career in Major League Baseball with the Minnesota Twins.
