Is Revolut down? Irish among users reporting issues with app not working

Irish Revolut users are among those reporting issues with using the app today.

The financial technology company confirmed there were problems with signing in, currency exchange and internal transfers.

Revolut said they were facing "technical issues" that caused the app to crash.

A spokesperson said: "We've recently faced some technical issues affecting our app functionalities and causing it to crash. We are already working on the fix, and we appreciate your patience. We're sorry for the trouble."

In a a later update, they added: "We’re aware of this ongoing issue. Please be assured we are working hard on a fix. The solution should be applied soon. Deep apologies for the inconvenience. "

Many Revolut users have been taking to social media to air their frustrations.

"Anyone else having awful trouble with Revolut app today? Not able to access my account for most of the day," one person wrote on Twitter.

Another added: "Is Revolut app having issues? Have two transfers that haven’t reached my account yet, once since Friday, one this morning using my own card to add money but no sign of funds on Revolut account?"

A third wrote: "Hello everyone! My Revolut app is down. Does anyone the same issue?"

At 10pm, a spokesperson for Revolut told the Irish Mirror that issues are now resolved.

"We experienced some technical issues today with our app that impacted some of our customers. The issue was quickly identified and has already been fixed, with the app back working fully for those affected. The majority of our customers were unaffected by this and all our customers’ money and data is safe. We apologise for any inconvenience caused," they said.
