Puka Nacua first injured his knee in training camp during a joint practice with the Los Angeles Chargers, sidelining him for several weeks before the season. Then in Week 1, he aggravated the injury and proceeded to miss the next five games before returning in Week 8.
Though he didn’t play the full game, Nacua looked like his usual self against the Vikings, catching seven passes for 106 yards in the Rams’ win. Unfortunately, his knee trouble popped up again on Thursday when he banged it in practice and was forced to leave early.
He missed Friday’s practice and is officially questionable to play against the Seahawks today, but here are the latest updates on the Rams receiver.
Puka Nacua injury update
According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Nacua is at least going to give it a go today against the Seahawks. He’s expected to “be able to try to play” in Seattle, which is a good sign for the Rams and their receiving corps as a whole.
When Nacua and Cooper Kupp are both healthy, the Rams offense looks completely different.
Rams expect WR Puka Nacua to be able to try to play Sunday vs. Seattle, despite him being listed as questionable due to a knee injury, per sources.

Rams WR depth chart
Starter | Backup | |
WR1 | Cooper Kupp | Tutu Atwell |
WR2 | Puka Nacua | Tyler Johnson |
WR3 | Demarcus Robinson | Jordan Whittington |
Nacua, Kupp and Robinson are expected to be the top wide receivers once again, with Tyler Johnson and Tutu Atwell as the primary backups. Jordan Whittington is questionable so he’s not certain to play, which would be his second straight missed game.
