The Tennessee Titans are releasing Pro Bowl offensive tackle Taylor Lewan. This was reported by Bussin’ With the Boys and confirmed by Lewan himself on Twitter. This means Lewan is a free agent and able to sign with any team he chooses.
Lewan has made it clear he wants to play for the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Steelers need an upgrade at offensive tackle so this seems like a perfect pairing, right? Maybe not so much. Lewan only played in two games in 2022. Lewan suffered a knee injury in Week Two and missed the last 15 games of the season. Lewan also missed three games in 2021 and 11 games in 2020. A case could be made his best years are behind him since his last Pro Bowl was in 2018.
Another concern could be the cost. It is unlikely the market for Lewan will be very strong but the team still shouldn’t overpay for a guy who hasn’t been great for some time.
Let us know in the comments if you would sign Lewan.
