Manchester United welcome Barcelona to Old Trafford on Thursday with both teams carrying a chance of progressing to the last 16 of the UEFA Europa League. Courtesy of a Marcus Rashford strike and Jules Kounde's own goal, United emerged from Spain with an impressive 2-2 draw in the first leg of their knockout tie and were unfortunate to not win the game.
You would now presume that Erik ten Hag and co fancy their chances of earning qualification on home soil, such is the impressive nature of their recent form. Efforts from Rashford and Jadon Sancho sealed a 3-0 win over Leicester City on Sunday and ensured that United moved to within just three points of second-place Manchester City in the Premier League table.
Barcelona, however, are not to be discounted. Following a turbulent few years at the Camp Nou, which saw the likes of Lionel Messi depart, club legend Xavi has restored the Catalan outfit's fortunes. Two quickfire goals within the space of just three minutes saw Barca beat lowly Cadiz previously and helped them maintain a seven-point lead over fierce rivals Real Madrid at the top of La Liga.
