Is Boston Celtics reserve point guard Malcolm Brogdon making a case to win the NBA’s Sixth Man of the Year award for the 2022-23 season? Per CLNS Media’s Bobby Manning, the Virginia alumnus should absolutely be under consideration for the award in a recent column.
“Mazzulla didn’t participate in the discussions leading Malcolm Brogdon to the Celtics while accepting a bench role after four seasons as a starter,” writes the CLNS analyst. “Brogdon held other choices like the Raptors. His decision gave Boston balance between its lineups, pairing Brogdon with sharpshooters Grant Williams, Sam Hauser and depth big Luke Kornet.”
Take a look at the clip embedded below to hear Manning’s case for Brogdon winning the award, and read his column backing up the clip to see if you agree.
