Is Liverpool vs Crystal Palace on TV? Channel, live stream, kick-off time, early team news

Liverpool make their long-awaited return to Anfield tonight when they host Crystal Palace in the first home game of the season.

The Reds started their 2022/2023 campaign in lacklustre fashion last weekend, twice coming from behind to draw 2-2 at Newly-promoted Fulham, with goals from Darwin Nunez and Mohamed Salah. Such is the competitiveness at the top of the table, tonight’s clash at Anfield has already been touted as ‘must win’.

The visitors for the evening are Patrick Viera’s Palace, who are without a point having lost in the season opener at home to Arsenal last Friday. Jurgen Klopp’s side won 3-0 in this fixture last season with goals from Salah, Sadio Mane and Naby Keita, a packed out Anfield will be hoping for something similar tonight.

Early Liverpool team news

The treatment room at the AXA Training Centre is already filling up, with Joel Matip the latest doubt after he withdrew from Friday’s training with a groin complaint. The Reds centre-back will be tested late on but could miss Monday’s fixture as well as Ibrahima Konate (knee).

The bulk of Klopp’s problems have come in midfield, with Thiago’s hamstring strain keeping him out for around a month, while Curtis Jones (calf) and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (hamstring) remain unavailable alongside Calvin Ramsay (undisclosed), Caoimhin Kelleher (groin) and Diogo Jota (hamstring).

But the Liverpool boss has confirmed he can call upon the returning duo of Kostas Tsimikas and Naby Keita to ease the injury burden somewhat.
