Is Liverpool v Everton on TV tonight? Kick-off time and channel for Merseyside derby

Liverpool host Everton this evening in a highly-anticipated Merseyside derby.

By each of their standards, it's been a poor season so far the two clubs separated by Stanley Park.

Jurgen Klopp's Reds have gone from title contenders last term to also-rans this time around, with the Anfield club in 10th place and closer to bottom club Southampton than league leaders Arsenal in terms of points.

Tonight's visitors saw off the Gunners in Sean Dyche's first game in charge of the Toffees, with the new-manager bounce in full effect last weekend, while Liverpool were comprehensively beaten 3-0 by Wolves.

All the above sets up the game tonight nicely. Here is everything you need to know about the clash.

What have the managers said?

Jurgen Klopp: “They are a very compact side. Very good on the counter-attack and set pieces will be very dangerous.

“And you could see that in the last game. It was good. Arsenal were dominant, but in the end, Everton had really good chances before they scored and they could have scored in other moments as well, so we prepare for the team we saw against Arsenal."

Sean Dyche: “I’m certainly not worried about stats and facts with Liverpool. I’m just planning on us delivering. I can’t emphasise that enough. I’ve just got here and I can’t legislate for the opposition and what they are doing every week. I need to focus on what we need to do and imprint it as quickly as I can.

"Virtually all my efforts are on what I’m doing here without much scope for worrying about what else is going on in football. Everyone can take care of themselves, it’s my job to take care of us. That’s what I’m planning on doing. We have an awareness of what the opposition do on the pitch but all the rest of it is just noise to me and my focus is on Everton Football Club.”
