Jrue Holiday is among the best defenders in the NBA. The Boston Celtics guard can legitimately cover all five positions and play multiple positions. This season, he’s guarded every spot on the floor and has been a core piece in a defensive system that ranks second in the league for defensive rating.
As such, Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green recently shared his belief that Holiday’s defense is as respected as Steph Curry‘s shooting within NBA circles. Considering Curry is widely considered the greatest shooter in league history, that is certainly some high praise.
Green’s comments came during an interview with Holiday on “The Draymond Green Show.” Holiday was an offseason addition to the Celtics roster after the Milwaukee Bucks had traded him to the Portland Trail Blazers as part of the Damian Lillard trade.
