No team has dealt with more injuries at the running back position this season than the San Francisco 49ers. The Los Angeles Rams know that feeling all too well, given the injury histories of Cam Akers, Darrell Henderson Jr. and even Kyren Williams over the years.
The 49ers already lost Christian McCaffrey and Jordan Mason, forcing them to roll with their third- and fourth-string running backs for the rest of the year, most likely. Isaac Guerendo filled in as the starter last week but he suffered a foot injury and exited their win over the Bears.
With the short week, he seemed unlikely to play but it sounds like he’s going to suit up against the Rams tonight.
Isaac Guerendo injury update
Adam Schefter reported on Thursday morning that Guerendo is expected to play. Guerendo insists that he “feels good” but he’s listed as questionable so we won’t know until 90 minutes before kickoff if he’s officially active.
With the fantasy football playoffs starting tonight:

49ers RB depth chart
If Guerendo is a late scratch or gets hurt in the game, the 49ers are thin at running back. They have Patrick Taylor backing him up and then Israel Abanikanda behind him as the third-string.
