Henry Slade scores England’s first try against Wales

Follow the latest updates live from Wales vs England as the Autumn Nations Cup continues at the Parc y Scarlets in Llanelli.

England can secure their place in the final of the one-off competition thanks to their victories over Georgia and Ireland, and head into the match as overwhelming favourites against a Welsh side who are going through a rough patch of form under relatively new head coach Wayne Pivac. The hosts have only beaten Italy and Georgia this year, and a defeat today would leave them down in third in Group A and likely to take on the Italians once again in the finals weekend next week.

Eddie Jones has challenged his side to not take Wales lightly though, and he has made just one change to the team that beat Ireland a week ago with George Ford returning to the starting line-up in place of the injured Ollie Lawrence, meaning Owen Farrell and Henry Slade shift along the back line to make up the centres. Wales meanwhile have reverted to their strongest line up possible, although they are without a number of key players through injury including flanker Justin Tipuric and centre Jonathan Davies, meaning that young back-row forward James Botham, son of great English cricketer Ian Botham, starts at openside flanker.
