Is Arsenal vs Real Madrid on TV? How to watch Champions League quarter-final

Arsenal face a mighty Champions League challenge as they look to salvage their season by progressing past Real Madrid in the quarter-finals.

While the Premier League is not yet mathematically out of reach, more dropped points at Everton rather betrayed Arsenal’s focus on this competition with hopes of domestic success now distant.

This is a rare meeting between these two clubs, with the pair colliding only once previously in this competition.

That 2006 affair saw a makeshift Arsenal defence hold firm against a star-studded Real Madrid attack - themes that may need to recur here if the London club are to reach the last four.

Here’s everything you need to know:

When is Arsenal vs Real Madrid?

The first leg of the Champions League quarter-final is due to kick off at 8pm BST on Tuesday 8 April at the Emirates Stadium.

How can I watch it?

Viewers in the United Kingdom can watch the match live via Amazon Prime Video, with coverage from 6.30pm BST.

Confirmed line-ups

Arsenal XI: Raya; Timber, Kiwior, Saliba, Lewis-Skelly; Odegaard, Partey, Rice; Saka, Merino, Martinelli.

Real Madrid XI: Courtois; Valverde, Asencio, Rudiger, Alaba; Rodrygo, Modric, Camavinga, Bellingham; Mbappe, Vini Jr.

Team news

Mikel Arteta has made six changes to the side that drew 1-1 with Everton at the weekend. There is only one in defence, as Ben White drops out for Jurrien Timber.

In midfield, Jorginho is replaced by Martin Odegaard, while Mikel Merino moves up front in place of Leandro Trossard, who moves to the bench as Thomas Partey returns to the starting XI. In attack, Ethan Nwaneri is replaced by Bukayo Saka, while Gabriel Martinelli is favoured over Raheem Sterling.

Carlo Ancelotti makes five changes to the side that lost against Valencia last weekend. In goal, Thibaut Courtois comes in for Fran González, while in defence, Fede Valverde moves to right-back with Lucas Vázquez dropping to the bench.

Raul Asencio replaces Aurelien Tchouameni at centre-back, while David Alaba comes in for Fran García at left-back. In midfield, Camavinga comes in in place of Valverde, while Rodrygo starts on the wing over Brahim Diaz.
