Revellers celebrating Christmas at an Irvine night spot will have the chance to dance well into the wee small hours during the festive celebrations.
Signature Works Scotland Ltd made an application to North Ayrshire Licensing Board to extend the opening hours of Pitchers to 3am on Boxing night into December 27.
There had been no objections from police to the proposals, members of the Board heard on Monday.
Business representatives said in their submission they would really appreciate the extension as Boxing Day was one of the busiest nights of the year and last year the restrictions were back and they were looking forward to it.
They understood it was a week day but it had been tough during the lockdowns and this Christmas was really important to the club.
Board member, Councillor Christina Larsen said it was a well-run establishment and the Boxing Day extension had been granted for a number of years.
Owner John Duncan said: “This is a key night of the year and is equivalent to Hogmanay, Christmas Eve and Halloween.
“It would have been a disaster had we not got it.
“‘But it’s fantastic and we appreciate it being granted.
"So it’s onwards and upwards, the club has been there since 2004.
"We have been a strong company and will continue to be.”
