Irvine Meadow hope to have a new manager in place for their Scottish Junior Cup tie at Petershill on Saturday, September 24.
Chairman Robert Jeffrey today confirmed the club are in no real rush to announce a successor to co-bosses Colin Spence and James Latta who left their positions by mutual consent yesterday.
Coaches Mark McCann and Keith Ross will take training this week with a caretaker manager expected to be in place before this weekend's South Challenge Cup clash away to Arthurlie.
Ayrshire Football News understands that the interim boss will NOT be an existing member of the playing squad.
Jeffrey said: "We don't want to rush into anything. We've always had a really good response when the job has been advertised in the past so we will take our time to look at our options.
"It's a manager and an assistant we are looking for rather than co-bosses and we're after someone with managerial experience. We feel we need some stability.
"There won't be any announcement before the Arthurlie game but we'd hope to have someone in place for the Scottish Junior Cup tie against Petershill."
