An Irish holidaymaker has been arrested and he allegedly left the scene accompanied by his wife and kid.
The driver is now facing up to a year in prison if convicted of leaving the scene of the accident and refusing to be breathalysed.
The bizarre incident happened in La Pineda, close to Salou in eastern Spain’s Costa Dorada last week.

Spanish cops said an Irish couple and their child were in their rented Fiat Panda when it crashed on a street in La Pineda at around 2am on Tuesday.
They claimed the husband and wife fled the area with their young
son.
Cops rushed to the scene and searched the area for the driver and spotted all three people on a street around one kilometre from the scene of the crash 30 minutes later.
Cops then tried to breathalyse the husband – but they allege he refused and was later arrested.
Police said nobody was injured in the incident, but claimed other cars were hit by the holidaymakers’ vehicle.
The man is now facing up to a year in prison if convicted of refusing to provide a specimen to cops at the scene.
Salou is one of the top holiday destinations for Irish punters in Spain.
