An Irish man has been arrested and charged with kidnapping and assaulting a young woman in the US last month.
According to court papers, Luke Moorehouse, 18, was arrested on St Patrick's Day at a nightclub in East Brunswick, New Jersey, after allegedly sharing an image of himself at the club.
Detectives stormed the club, located Mr Moorehouse and arrested him.

Moorehouse, who reportedly holds an Irish passport, was charged with kidnapping, which is a first-degree crime, sexual assault, a second-degree crime, and sexual contact, a fourth-degree crime, according to Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone.
He has since been taken to the North Brunswick Middlesex County Adult Correction Center.
The alleged attack occurred at a house party on Easton Avenue in East Brunswick on February 19.
The victim told investigating police that she was in a bathroom when an unidentified man came into the room. She alleged that he closed the door behind him before sexually assaulting her.
According to court records, the woman, a student at Rutgers University, then went to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick where she underwent a Sexual Assault Forensic Exam (SAFE), also known as a “rape kit”.
The court records also suggest that the woman sustained injuries to her right wrist and knee.
The victim recognised the suspect from a surveillance video, while his Irish passport and US Customs and Border Protection photos were used to confirm Moorehouse’s identity.
Statements were later obtained from a witness that corroborated the victim's statement, according to court records.
