Irish viewers tell US TikToker that her Guinness video 'hurts to watch' after major blunder.

TikTok star Gabby Eniclerico has shocked her Irish viewers after she posted a video trying out Guinness in America.

Viewers are all saying the same thing after she made a major "mistake" when drinking from her bottle of Guinness.

In the beginning of the video clip, she said: "Look what I got.”

"I have to confess something, I have never actually had Guinness in the US - but I know it's not going to taste as good as the Guinness that I had in Ireland."

The video has gained over 250,000 views on TikTok.

Irish viewers flocked to Gabby's comment section with complaints because she didn't pour it into a glass.

One person said: "Do not drink Guinness straight from the bottle or can, it's a hanging offence in Ireland."

Another wrote: "From all in Ireland, we love your love for Ireland, but please pour it into a glass and let it set."

A third person added: "You need to pour it into a glass and let it set, I'm Irish and this hurts to watch, drinking from the bottle."

While a fourth wrote: "Sweet mother of Jesus… did you learn anything on your trip… at least pour it into a glass…then throw it out..”

Meanwhile, beer-tinkering experts in America claim to have created the perfect head on a pint.

Professors at the American Institute of Physics have enhanced a super-fast dispensing system that can pour a pint in just over one second by firing the liquid through a cap placed in the bottom of a glass.

By playing around with the beer pressure, the US experts discovered a way of reducing the amount of excess froth.

They claim the ground-breaking technique will create a flawless, foamy head that not only enhances the beer’s look and taste, but also reduces waste.

There are very few things that get pub-going purists into more of a lather than the head on their beer.

Some reckon they are being short-changed when served a beer with a weighty white top.

According to Guinness Master Brewer, Stephen Kilcullen, The perfect pint of Guinness is a unique experience in the world of beer.

"It's certainly a matter of taste; but it's also about presentation, temperature and distinctive layers that create an impeccable pint of clear, dark stout topped with a white, dense, creamy foam.

But what makes it truly special to me is the fact that every time you order a fresh pint, for a brief moment, you're connected to over 250 years of history, since Arthur Guinness signed a 9000 year lease on a property at St. James’ Gate in 1759. "

Guinness says to do the following to pour Guinness from a bottle.

  • Start by ensuring that your bottle is perfectly chilled, we would recommend refrigerating it at 8 degrees Celsius for at least 24 hours before you serve.
  • Check that you have the correct, clean glassware before you crack the cap.
  • Tilt the glass and the bottle towards each other, starting both at an angle of 45 degrees.
  • Pour slowly in one single go, the bottle shouldn’t touch the glass at any stage.
  • As you reach the end of the bottle, the head comes just over the top to create a beautiful tanned head.
  • Your perfect Guinness is now ready to drink.
