Irish people on Twitter got a great kick out of a supposed leaked promo image of Man United's new away kit.
That's because Bruno Fernandes was for some reason superimposed into Croke Park for the purposes of the photo.
The below retweet laughing at the ridiculous sight quickly went viral on Irish Twitter and it's easy to see why.
Among the best replies to user Ben aka pubmerchant were 'To be fair, he’s been knocking it over the bar all season' and 'Looks like he's lining out for Donegal.'
Ben himself jokingly called the Portugese playmaker 'Brún O’Fernandes' while someone else commented 'Playing Sherbourne in Europa Conference League.'
There were plenty of replies along the lines of 'promising half-forward' as well as less sympathetic replies such as 'Imagine the diving rolling about and crying he’d do in a GAA match lol.'
Another leaked photo featuring a Portugese star modelling their home jersey for the 2022/23 season has also generated quite a bit of buzz but for a very different reason.
An image of Cristiano Ronaldo wearing the new strip has been read by many as a sign that he will be at Old Trafford next season.
Rumours have been rife that Ronaldo may not be the kind of player incoming boss Erik Ten Hag values as central to his plans but the player has made abundantly clear he is excited to work with the departing Ajax manager.
"I know that he has done a fantastic job at Ajax, and that he is an experienced coach, but we have to give him time," Ronaldo told manutd.com.
"Things must change the way he wants. If you do well, all of Manchester United will succeed, so I wish you all the best. We are all happy and excited [with the arrival], not only as players but as fans as well. We have to believe that next year we can win titles."
Though the majority of supporters seem heartened by the pictures of Ronaldo donning next season's strip, some have pointed out the forward also took part in promotional kit campaigns for both Real Madrid and Juventus - before leaving that same summer.
