Irish TikTok star Miriam Mullins forced to go to gardaí over 'stalker' fears as someone films her inside her house

TikTok star Miriam Mullins revealed her stalker hell after her car tyres were slashed and she was filmed in her home.

The 27-year-old opened up on the highs and lows of being an influencer, admitting there are days she wishes she’d never started posting on social media.

The Cork native, who has two million TikTok followers and 100k on Instagram, said: “I’ve had to go to the guards about stuff before
and nothing could really be done about it.

“I’ve had my tyres slashed. I’ve had people stand outside my house recording me in my home.

“I’ve had to go to the guards but they can’t do anything about it really.

“It is invasion of privacy and it can be eventually, I suppose, stalking.

“It’s just crazy how that person was literally outside my house, a young adult, let’s just say late teens.”

Miriam, who is dating South African influencer Tiaan Heyns, called for tougher cyber laws because “people get away with so much online”.

And she admitted uploading six videos a day during the pandemic left her “addicted to social media on my phone”.

She added: “I feel like we’re in an era at the moment where social media is such a big part of everyone’s lives.

“I’ll be honest, there are some days I wish it didn’t exist because it can be just too much, but then I’ll be like ‘I’d be out of a job’.

Miriam features on Eating with the Enemy on Virgin Media Two tomorrow night where she describes her career as a learning curve.

She said: “There’s a brand I worked with... and just how they treated me and other people they worked with, I would never again work with them.

“It doesn’t affect the people following me, it affects me and it’s to do with money.

“It was a difficult situation I was put into and I wouldn’t work with them again.”
