Netflix has announced Irish star Karen Connell and singer Roisin Murphy will star in a new drama series, Half Bad.
The Batman star Jay Lycurgo, Starstruck Nadia Parkes and Emilien Vekemans are set to star in Half Bad, a new eight-part drama series based on the trilogy of books from Sally Green.
Killybegs native Karen, who previously starred in US TV hit show Vikings, will play the role of Ceelia in the series.
The show will also see multiple Brit Award and Mercury Music Prize nominee Roísín Murphy making her drama debut.
They are joined by an exciting mixture of new and familiar faces including Isobel Jesper Jones, Paul Ready, David Gyasi, Kerry Fox, Liz White, Fehinti Balogun and Misha Butler.

Half Bad tells the story of 16-year-old Nathan, played by Jay Lycurgo, who is the illegitimate son of the world’s most dangerous witch.
Fearing he will follow in his father's footsteps; Nathan is constantly monitored. But as the boundaries between ‘good’ and ‘bad’ fray, Nathan - along with mischievous Annalise and charismatic Gabriel - will soon discover who he truly is.
Half Bad is a darkly humorous, romantic, roller-coaster ride of a young adult show. It’s a story about the indomitable will to survive and defy the odds.
Half Bad is written by acclaimed British screenwriter, Joe Barton, with additional writing by Ryan J Brown, Dionne Edwards, Helen Kingston, and Emer Kenny, and produced for Netflix by The Imaginarium, the production company co-founded by Andy Serkis and Jonathan Cavendish
