A number of Irish fans believe Josh Adams was lucky not to get a red card for his second half challenge on Johnny Sexton.
Adams was yellow-carded by referee Jaco Peyper following a reckless shoulder-led challenge on Sexton in the Six Nations opener at the Aviva Stadium on Saturday.
But some supporters felt the card should have been a different colour and took to social media to vent their frustrations.
One said: "Surely that’s a red card. Sexton doesn’t even have the ball and adams hasn’t even wrapped his arms."
Another commented: "Should be a red for Josh Adams on Sexton. Not playing ball at all. Disgusting."
Someone else tweeted: "That should have been red. He fully intended to take Sexton out."
One other tweet read: "That should be a red all day long just because it missed Sexton’s head by a few inches is irrelevant."
Ireland, inevitably, made Wales pay, making the most of their temporary one-man advantage as patient build-up play finished with an unmarked Andrew Conway going over for his second try before Garry Ringrose added another moments later.
