The train line between Bray and Greystones in Co Wicklow will remain closed ‘indefinitely’ as emergency services attend the scene of an incident.
Emergency services were called to the train line at around 7am on Wednesday.
In a statement on Twitter, Irish Rail said: “Line closed between Bray/Greystones until further notice, as emergency services attend the line. Dublin Bus will accept valid rail tickets in the affected area. Update to follow.”
In an update, the service provider said emergency services remain at the scene, and bus companies will honour valid rail tickets in the affected area.
They said: “Emergency services are on the line. Line expected to remain closed indefinitely. Bus companies will honour valid rail tickets in the affected area.”
In its final update at 9.20am, Irish Rail added that emergency services were still in attendance at the scene.
It said: “Emergency services remain on the line. Line expected to remain closed indefinitely. Dublin Bus/GoAhead will honour valid rail tickets in the affected area. Rosslare services will operate to/from Greystones only.”
It is currently unknown when the service will resume.
