A new Irish pub has opened its doors in sunny Italy- and the Dublin owner is looking for bar staff who know how to pour a proper pint of Guinness.
Dublin native Kieran Patten is recruiting in the beautiful city of Siena in Tuscany, Italy, for a top bartender who knows their Irish drinks including how the pour a Guinness head reports the Irish Mirror. The new pub is called The Irishman, and it was formerly called The American Bar before it underwent a fantastic revamp.
The pub already has a strong local following, and is a draw for many tourists visiting Siena. The Irishman stocks a wide range of favourite drinks including Guinness, Smithwicks and a delicious banoffee pie that "might be worth the trip alone", according to Kieran.
Kieran's American wife Donna Passannante said: “It’s a bar with an Italian accent and Irish hospitality.”

She added: “There are no strangers in Kieran’s life; there are only friends he hasn’t met yet.”
Kieran's journey to open the pub all began in 2012 when he first visited Siena in Tuscany, Italy and met the bar’s original owner, local man Antonio Tortorelli, and discussed taking over one day.
Kieran’s good friend Antonio, who opened the bar in the 1970s, sadly died two years ago and now it has been re-launched as an Irish pub. The Irishman officially opened its doors on St Patrick's Day, and they're expecting a busy summer.
Kieran and Donna want to enhance the craic by hiring a new bartender from home who speaks some Italian.
