An Irish presenter will lead the This Morning couch this week following the brisk departure of long-time host Phillip Schofield.
At the conclusion of this Tuesday's show, Alison Hammond, 48, said her normal co-presenter Dermot O'Leary, 49, would not be in on Wednesday due to plans for his 50th birthday, OK reported.
A well known and liked face, he has already been tipped to join Holly Willoughby, 42, as a full-time presenter.

Schofield's quick exit has left producers - and the bookmakers analysing who will join as the new host with Alison, Dermot and Rylan Clark all in contention.
Dermot and Alison, who usually sit in on Fridays and throughout busy holiday times, took the This Morning reins after Holly informed that she was taking a two-week break following the fallout with her now departed co-presenter.
Fan favourites, Alison and Dermot were the most likely replacement but according to The Sun, Dermot will be replaced on Wednesday by another familiar This Morning face - Irish presenter Craig Doyle.
Phillip's regular co-host and long-time personal friend Holly also made a statement once the news had became public, stating that it wouldn't ever be the same without him.
"It's been over 13 great years presenting This Morning with Phil and I want to take this opportunity to thank him for all of his knowledge, his experience and his humour," she said.
"The sofa won't feel the same without him," she added.
