Irish pair Zach Tuohy and Mark O’Connor helped Geelong storm to the AFL title a 132-52 victory over the Sydney Swans at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Saturday.
Tuohy and O'Connor are only the second and third Irishmen to win a Grand Final after Tadhg Kennelly achieved the feat with the Swans in 2005.
Kerryman O'Connor, 25, was drafted in late to the starting lineup after an injury to his teammate Max Holmes.

And he and Portlaoise man Tuohy, making his 250th AFL appearance, helped Geelong avenge their 2020 final loss.
In front of a crowd of 100,024 people, Geelong scored seven of the first eight goals to cruise to their AFL title since 2011.
Their captain Joel Selwood said after the match: "They're hard to win and every side says it, but I think we deserved one.
"This has been building for five or six years."
Tuohy, 32, carried a Portlaoise GAA flag around the pitch during celebrations that are sure to last a long time.
