National Lottery bosses have confirmed where last night’s big lotto winner is from as they clinch a life-changing prize worth €2,310,972.
One lucky punter from South Co. Dublin became Ireland’s newest millionaire last night as officials now call for players in the area to check tickets to see if they are Ireland’s ninth jackpot winner of 2022.
The winning numbers for the October 12 draw were: 1, 11, 14, 19, 27, 39, and the bonus was 44.

The National Lottery has also confirmed that the winning store location of the €2.3 million jackpot win will be revealed on Friday as they narrow down their search.
Ireland’s latest Lotto jackpot winner, who is yet to make contact with the National Lottery is advised to sign the back of their ticket and to keep it safe.
The Dublin winner should make contact with the National Lottery prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie and arrangements will be made for them to claim their prize.
Across the entire draw, over 61,000 players won prizes in the Lotto and Lotto Plus draws last night including one winner of the Match 5 + Bonus prize of €36,177.
The Cork player bought their quick pick ticket on the day of the draw in Centra Foodstore, in Ballineen, Co Cork.
Speaking this morning about the recent list of wins, a National Lottery spokesperson said: “What a month October is shaping up to be already – with two incredible Lotto Jackpot wins within a week of each other!
“A National Lottery player from Dublin is waking up this morning as Ireland's newest millionaire and has a Lotto ticket worth €2.3 Million in their possession! A player from Cork also managed to match 5 numbers and the bonus to scoop €36,177.
“This morning, we are appealing to all our players in Dublin and Cork to check their tickets carefully, and if you are one of the winners, sign the back of the ticket and contact our prize claims team as soon as possible.
“This latest Dublin winner is the 9th Lotto jackpot winner of the year and the 31st National Lottery millionaire of 2022.”
