Dublin Bus operates a pay scale for long term employees, meaning that wages will automatically increase after six years working as a professional driver and eight as a mechanic or engineering operative. The company also offers other perks to employees who successfully pay their probationary period of 12 months, including a company pension scheme, free bus travel and discounted rail fares.
Candidates are encouraged to pre-register for the event on the Dublin bus website, although drop ins are also welcome throughout the day. All participants must hold their full car license to proceed with their application.
Mechanics and engineering operatives are also required to drive company vehicles and work on a rotation of day/night shifts, depending on the staffing requirements of their location. New drivers work a five day week, which includes some night time services.
Candidates will be provided with full training and mentoring upon starting with the transport provider. You can pre- register your interest for the recruitment day here.
