Roy Carroll has been appointed as the Irish FA's new Head Goalkeeper Development Coach.
The former Manchester United and Northern Ireland keeper's role will see him continue to work with senior international men’s team and across the IFA's Elite Youth Academy.
Carroll, 44, took over from Steve Harper as Northern Ireland senior goalkeeping coach last summer.
He has also worked as goalkeeping coach with Northern Ireland’s Under 19 and U17 teams.
Carroll won 45 caps for his country and also played for Northern Ireland 11 times at U21 level.
He also played in the Irish League, winning two league titles and an Irish Cup with Linfield before signing for Dungannon Swifts.
During the past six years Carroll has also been heavily involved in coaching at clubs at various levels across Northern Ireland and has set up his own coaching academy for goalkeepers.
Recently Carroll has been working with the Irish FA's Talent ID Team which has been tasked with identifying the next wave of young football stars.
