An Irish EuroMillions player came agonisingly close to scooping Tuesday night's life-changing jackpot.
No one on the continent managed to match up all five numbers and the two lucky stars to take home a whopping €87,739,478, meaning the top prize for Friday's draw will be close to the monstrous €100m mark.
But one player in the west of Ireland did manage to match the first five numbers that came out of the draw - only being denied the top prize by not having the two lucky stars.

They'll have to comfort themselves with their prize of €152,670 instead, which they won as a result of managing to pick out the first five balls.
Lotto bosses have confirmed the winning ticket was bought in Mayo.
Last night's results in full were:
EuroMillions
19, 26, 31, 39 and 48 with lucky stars of 2 and 3
EuroMillions Plus
17, 27, 30, 34 and 41
In total over 43,000 players in Ireland won prizes in the EuroMillions and Plus games
As well as the near €100m jackpot on Friday, Ireland will be guaranteed another new millionaire.
That's because the last of the special Ireland-only raffle prize bumps will take place on Friday evening, which has already seen three EuroMillions players pick up the seven-figure sums.
First, a Sligo punter was rewarded for holding Raffle Code I-NBF-65003 on August 5, before being followed a week later by an online player from Tipperary.
Then, last Friday, a Galwegian scooped the million thanks to raffle code I-NCR-41927.
The west is awake and seems to be very lucky these days!
