Road users in Ireland are being warned over another eFlow scam that is targeting people from an Irish mobile number.
eFlow is the brand name of the M50 motorway tolling operation managed by Irish company Turas Mobility Services on behalf of Transport Infrastructure Ireland.
The alert, which is being sent via text message, advises drivers that they have ‘missed the deadline date for updates’ to their accounts.

They’re then asked to click a link and ‘take action as soon as possible’.
The number of scams doing the rounds in Ireland is constantly growing, and fraudsters are becoming more sly than ever with their approaches.
Instead of straight out asking for card or bank details, they’re prompting people to visit a website that will look legitimate at first glance.
There, victims will likely be advised that they need to input their private details to gain access to their account to make these updates.
One of the key approaches these scammers are making these days is giving people a sense of urgency that if they don’t act now they will be hit with fines or accounts will be closed.
It is understood that there have been a number of variations of the eFlow scam message doing the rounds over the last few months and the company released a statement clarifying that they will never ask customers to open any links via text.
A spokesperson said: “eFlow is aware of fraudulent text messages currently circulating regarding unpaid tolls. It is advising anybody who receives such text messages to ignore them and not open any links.
“eFlow does not ask customers to open any links to confirm payment details. If you have inadvertently clicked on any of these links, we strongly advise you to contact your bank immediately and, if necessary, An Garda Síochána.
“To pay any outstanding amounts please go directly to the eFlow website or contact us on 0818 50 10 50”.
