A Dublin community has paid heartbroken tributes to a young woman who has passed away.
Sue Ellen Quigley died peacefully at the Mater Hospital yesterday.
She was described by Howth locals as a “beautiful person inside and out” who were shocked by the “sad news”, Dublin Live reports.
One person said: “Omg a light has truly gone out. So sad, Sue Ellen rest easy young lady cannot quite believe it!”
Someone else added: “So so sad, my heart goes out to Angela , Gussie and all the families. No more suffering dear Sue Ellen.”
A third commented: “My sincerest condolences to Angela and Gus. I will always remember her as a little girl. Sue Ellen was the light of your lives and will always be remembered with great love and affection by all who knew her.”
A local said she was “amazing, so kind and caring”, whilst another described her as “such a fighter, an inspiration to us all”.
A post on RIP.ie reads: "Sue Ellen will be sadly missed by her parents Gus and Angela, brothers Jason and Anthony, sisters-in-law, Yvonne and Emilia, grandmother Mary, nieces Beth and Faye, aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends.
There will be a mass followed by a funeral to Dardistown Crematorium. Anyone unable to attend the church can watch the funeral Mass live on the church webcam here.
The family are asking for no flowers - instead, donations can be made to Cystic Fibrosis Ireland.
