Irish comedian Joanne McNally tells how she was caught stalking famous man

Comedian Joanne McNally told how she was given a warning by a Celebrity Dating App after she was caught stalking a famous hunk.

The 35-year-old star has just wrapped a sell out run at Vicar Street, Dublin and admitted she needs to find a man soon or she will run out of material.

Joanne told the Irish Mirror: “I never go on Tinder, but I was on this celebrity dating app, you need to be invited on it but my heart is not really in it, but I do need to find a man soon or I’ll run out of stuff to talk about.

“There was one really famous guy on it and I don’t want to say his name in case they kick me off.

Irish comedian Kevin McGahern says days of sexist and homophobic jokes should be gone

“But I tried to screen grab him and I got a notification to say that it had been reported that I was trying to screen grab him and if I did it again I’d be kicked off.”

Asked if she intimidates men she quipped: “I don’t think so but the difference is women can be laughed into bed and men can’t.”

In her documentary Babyhater Joanne explored motherhood saying she was 80% sure she didn’t want kids.

A year on the comic admits she hasn’t ruled out having a baby on her own.

She said: “I’d have nobody to have a baby with, I’m not against having one on my own, I wouldn’t say no but I’d need to be a bit more mature.”

The former Republic of Telly star has relocated to London and is flying into Ireland this June Bank Holiday for the Kilkenny Cat Laughs comedy festival alongside a host of famous faces including Tommy Tiernan and Dara O’Briain.

She said: “We’re going all out, it’s the Catlaughs 25th birthday and We’ll have a bit of craic but I’ve got four or five shows on so it’ll be pretty full on.

“The line up is bonkers, it’s so good, there’s something gorgeous about it because it takes over the whole of Kilkenny town.

“It means you can walk from venue to venue, there’s a great vibe, it’s like a mini Paddy’s Day.

Following the success of her one woman stand up show Gleebag, the controversial comic is working on her new offering.

She said: “My new show is the Prossecco express which I’m writing for Edinburgh.

“It’s about me and the lads in the past year, my mum and trying to get her pension out of her, and women and their relationship with wine.

“It’s about online dating and having babies, all the general stuff we love to chat about it.”
