It will be a damp and cloudy start to the day on Thursday with outbreaks of light rain and drizzle across Ireland.
But that is all set to clear up as sunny spells develop across the country by the evening, marking a turn for the better in the weather.
Met Eireann has forecast gorgeous conditions for this weekend from Friday with plenty of sunshine and warmer temperatures of up to 20C.
The national forecaster said: "High pressure across Ireland will bring largely dry weather and spells of sunshine this weekend with temperatures in the mid to high teens."

This weekend could even be the hottest of the year so far, if it beats this year's record of 20.9C which was hit on May 15.
However, people are advised to enjoy the sunshine while it lasts as early indications show that unsettled conditions and lower temperatures are set to return next week.

Thursday, May 26
A damp and cloudy start today with outbreaks of rain and drizzle. Patchy light rain will become confined to Munster and south Leinster by afternoon, with drier weather and sunny spells developing elsewhere. By evening, it will be dry with spells of sunshine across the country. Quite breezy in moderate to fresh westerly winds. Highest temperatures of 13 degrees in the northwest to 18 degrees in the southeast.
Friday, May 27
Friday, will be a dry and sunny day over most of the country. However, it will be cloudier for a time in Ulster with the chance of an isolated drizzle patch in the morning. Highest temperatures of 13 degrees in the north to 19 degrees in the south in light to moderate northwest winds.
Friday night, largely dry with long clear spells, though it will be cloudier at times over Ulster. A cool night with lowest temperatures of 5 to 8 degrees in a light northerly breeze.
Saturday, May 28
Another dry day with spells of sunshine, though there will be isolated light showers in the north. A rather warm day for much of the country with highest temperatures of 16 to 19 degrees generally, though it will be cooler in north Ulster in light to moderate northerly winds.
Saturday night, staying dry with clear spells. Lowest temperatures of 5 to 9 degrees in a light to moderate northerly breeze.
Sunday, May 29
Mostly dry with sunny spells. However, there is the chance of a few light showers in the north and east. Highest temperatures of 14 to 18 degrees, though it will once again be cooler in north Ulster in moderate northeasterly winds.
Becoming slightly cloudier overnight with scattered light showers spreading from the north. Lowest temperatures of 5 to 9 degrees.
Monday, May 30
A cooler and cloudier day on Monday with well scattered light showers. Highest temperatures of 10 to 14 degrees in a light to moderate northerly breeze.
