Met Eireann has forecast a washout week with low pressure dominating and 'heavy showers' and 'below average temperatures' expected.
Today we are set to see more scattered showers, with some heavy downpours especially in the north and east of Ireland.
Yesterday saw a status yellow rain and thunderstorm warning covering almost the entire country and Met Eireann's monthly forecast for this week shows that there could be more weather warnings to come.

A forecaster said: "Week one will see low pressure continue to dominate our weather, with the mostly southwesterly flow bringing above average rainfall and below average temperatures. There is the potential for some rainfall/thunderstorm warnings through the period and with large anomalies in low-pressure, wind warnings can’t be ruled out also."
And unfortunately it looks like the bad weather is here to stay as an Irish weather expert offered a gloomy outlook on the days ahead.
Weather expert Alan O'Reilly, who runs Carlow Weather, said it is not expected to improve to summery weather for up to 10 days - or possibly longer.
He wrote on the Carlow Weather Twitter page: "A lot of people asking if any sign of our weather improving to warm settled weather and I’m afraid no sign for the next 7-10 days. The models show next battle of high and low around the 20th of July and we could see high move up improving our weather but the low could be stubborn to move!"
Here is Met Eireann's weekly forecast in full:
Tuesday, July 11
