What a strange evening it turned out to be at The Aviva Stadium.
Ireland got that much-needed win but no-one was really celebrating by the final whistle after an embarrassing near-capitulation.

Gavin Bazunu 5 - Could have popped to the shops until all hell broke loose. Poor for their second
Nathan Collins 6 - Nearly scored with a late header and proved his worth on the front foot

Dara O’Shea 6 - Supplied the assist for Obafemi’s goal and then won the last gasp penalty
Matt Doherty 5 - Helped win the corner for Egan’s goal but struggled to make an impact otherwise
Jeff Hendrick 5 - Never took control against weak opponents who were there to be punished
