The Six Nations is just a matter of weeks away and Andy Farrell will name his Ireland squad on Wednesday.
Both England and Wales named their squads on Tuesday afternoon.
Looking at selections from previous years, Irish fans can expect somewhere between 35 and 38 players to be called up to the squad.
Last year the Ireland Head Coach picked a 36-man squad for the first two rounds of the Six Nations and in October there 38 selected for the Autumn Nations Cup.
Ireland haven't lost a game in eight and Farrell will not want to rock the boat that much in order to keep that record intact.
A massive positive is that Ireland do not have many major injury concerns although Iain Henderson could miss out as he is still struggling with an ankle injury which he picked up in December.
Ulster star Jacob Stockdale took to social media on Monday night to say he would be out for the rest of the season after having surgery on his ankle.
Farrell will have to take the fitness of James Ryan and Tadhg Furlong in to consideration as they picked up knocks at the weekend with Ryan's reported to be a minor muscle issue.
Furlong is one of the most important players on the Ireland team and would be very hard to replace.
However, Leinster issued an injury update this afternoon saying that the pair could be in contention to play for the province this weekend against Bath.
Johnny Sexton appeared off the bench for Leinster on Sunday as his game time is being managed to keep him fit.
Farrell will be pleased with Robert Balacoune as he had another fantastic performance for Ulster against Northampton.
James Hume has proved key for Ulster but when it comes to Ireland, he’s in a highly competitive position in the squad.
With the World Cup edging closer, there won’t be time for experimentation from Farrell but despite the poor performances from the provinces over the last few weeks, Ireland are in strong position for the Six Nations.
Ireland enter the competition fresh off a stunning 29-20 victory against the All Blacks in Dublin back in November.
