The 95th Academy Awards are almost here and hopes are extremely high for some Irish success.
A record-breaking 14 Irish nominees makes this year's Oscars a historic one for Ireland. Barry Keoghan, Colin Farrell, Brendan Gleeson, Paul Mescal and Kerry Condon are among the stars hoping to bring home their fair share of statues on the night.
However, Ireland has had plenty of Oscars success in the past with a total of 18 wins and a whopping 97 nominations. Here's the full list of Irish winners at the Academy Awards from over the years:

Barry Fitzgerald
Born in Portobello in 1888, Barry Fitzgerald won Best Supporting Actor at the 1944 Academy Awards for his role in "Going My Way". The film was very successful and also scooped the Best Motion Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Screenplay, Best Original Motion Picture Story and Best Song awards at the Oscars that year.
George Bernard Shaw
Dubliner George Bernard Shaw was born in 1856 and received an Academy Award for "Pygmalion" in 1938, which he provided the screenplay for. The playwright was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1926.
Brenda Fricker
Renowned Dublin actress Brenda Fricker became the first Irish woman to win an Academy Award when she triumphed in the Best Supporting Actress category to date in 1989 for her role in "My Left Foot".
Neil Jordan
Rosses Point native Neil Jordan was victorious in the 1992 Best Original Screenplay category for "The Crying Game". The film also received nominations for the Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor and Best Film Editing categories.
Connie Marrinan
Connie Marrinan won an Oscar in the Best Documentary (short subject) category in 2009 for "A Note of Triumph: The Golden Age of Norman Corwin". She shared the award with Eric Simonson.
Kenneth Branagh
Sir Kenneth Branagh won the Best Original Screenplay award in 2021 for "Belfast". The film received seven nominations at the Academy Awards.
Daniel Day Lewis
Daniel Day Lewis is the only actor to have one three Academy Awards for best actor. He won the awards in 1989, 2007 and 2012.
Martin McDonagh
Martin McDonagh's short film "Six Shooter" won an Academy Award for Best Live Action Short Film in 2005. He is hoping to expand his Oscars success this weekend with his multiple nominations for "Banshees of Inisherin".
Oolagh George and Terry George
The father-daughter team won the Best Live Action Short Film category in 2011 for "The Shore".
Benjamin Cleary
Benjamin Cleary added to Ireland's great success in the Best Live Action Short Film category in 2015 with his film "Stutterer". He shared the award with Shan Christopher Ogilvie and Serena Armitage.

Tyron Montgomery
Tyron Montgomery won an Oscar for Best Animated Short Film in 1996 with his film "Quest". He shared the award with Thomas Stellmach.
Glen Hansard
Ballymun native Glen Hansard won an Academy Award in 2007 in the Best Original Song category for his song "Falling Slowly" that featured in "Once". He shared the award with Marketa Irglova.
Josie MacAvin
Set decorator Josie MacAvin won an Oscar in 1985 in the Best Production Design category for the film "Out of Africa". She shared the award with Stephen Grimes, the art director of the film.
Michele Burke
Michele Burke has won two Academy Awards for Best Makeup and Hairstyling. She was victorious in 1982 for "Quest For Fire" and 1992 for "Bram Stoker's Dracula".
Richard Baneham
Tallaght native Richard Baneham won a 2009 Academy Award for Best Visual Effects for "Avatar". He has been nominated this year in the same category for "Avatar: The Way Of Water".
