Ireland wing Mack Hansen picked up a gruesome injury after helping Connacht to a stunning 15-10 win over Ulster in Belfast on Friday night.
The 25-year-old suffered a head injury during the United Rugby Championship quarter-final victory, forcing him off to be bandaged up.
Posting a graphic image of the gaping wound on his Instagram afterwards, Hansen joked that his "model career was on hold".
However, despite the gruesome extent of his injury, he still managed to play the full 80 minutes as the province inflicted a surprise defeat on Ulster.
The home side had never lost a knockout match at the Kingspan Stadium and were firm favourites for this clash, having finished second in the league.

But, having led 9-3 at half-time, they saw off a comeback from Ulster to secure a semi-final place.
Next up for Connacht will be South Africa opposition, with the Stormers defeating the Bulls in Cape Town on Saturday.
The Galway side will be hoping Hansen recovers from the nasty wound in time for that clash.
Australian-born Hansen, who joined Connacht in 2021 from the Brumbies, has won 14 caps for Ireland since making his debut in the 2022 Six Nations.
