Ireland pubs reopening: Dublin bar brightens up Twitter users' day with the picture we have all been waiting for

Dublin Twitter users were rejoicing today after they saw a much missed sight that we have all been waiting for.

O'Donoghue's on Merrion Row posted a behind the scenes picture that lifted the city's spirits and garnered thousands of likes in less than 24 hours.

The picture shows countless kegs in the bar's storage as they prepare to reopen to customers next week and is captioned "the beginning of the end".

It was the exact content Dublin Twitter users needed to finish off their week on a high note and enter the bank holiday.

It quickly racked up plenty of attention on the app, with many celebrating the fact the image marks the end of lockdown.

One tweeter praised the "wholesome content" while another user hailed the "beautiful sight".

Pubs and restaurants can start serving customers outdoors from next week.

O'Donoghue's is located on Merrion row which has undergone plenty of preparation for outdoor dining.

Dublin City Council reduced traffic on the street to one lane to build extra footpath space for businesses as restaurants and pubs reopen.
