Ireland midfielder Josh Cullen gets engaged to long time partner Lauren in Dubai holiday

Josh Cullen has announced his engagement to long time girlfriend Lauren as he popped the question during a romantic getaway to Dubai.

Cullen is currently taking a break from football before pre-season and travelled to Dubai with his partner Lauren to recharge the batteries.

And while over there, the Anderlecht midfielder popped the question to long time partner Lauren Ellis.

Taking to social media, Cullen said: "Luckiest man alive to spend the rest of my life with you. Forever"

And the midfielder can be seen getting down on one knee in front of the iconic Burj Al Arab.

And a number of famous faces congratulated the midfielder with Irish teammate James McClean saying: "Congrats bud"

While former West Ham forward Carlton Cole said: "Congratulations Josh"

While the FAI's Instagram account said: "Congratulations Josh"
