Ireland in kit malfunction as Katie McCabe Sky logo upside-down before France game

Ireland's suffered a kit malfunction before their clash against France on Thursday night as Katie McCabe had an upside-down logo on her training top.

The Girls in Green took on France in Tallaght Stadium on Thursday night but Katie McCabe was the victim of a kit malfunction before kick-off.

McCabe's Ireland training top had the Sky logo printed on upside down and was visible as the sides lined up for the national anthems.

And social media users found the funny side after noticing the mistake.

Sky Ireland's own social media account said: "We’d love to say it was a stunt by us to mark the team going Down Under, but…"

While another social media user said: "Take it as a win, Sky down under good marketing ploy."

And another added: To be fair they're going to Australia so it needs to be that way so they can read it down under. Ahem."

Vera Pauw's side were comprehensively beaten by France on Thursday night with the visitors running out 3-0 winners in Tallaght Stadium while the squad travel to Australia on Friday.
